The residences in our network are historic homes, but not only that. They are living places, with stories to tell, inhabited and cared for by dynamic owners eager to explore new forms of cultural openness. The network grows through long-standing partnerships with national and international institutions such as Associazione Dimore Storiche Italiane, European Historic Houses, Europa Nostra, FAI, Embassies and Cultural Institutes.
Today, the community brings together more than 300 residences of different natures and functions: privately inhabited homes, holiday residences, hospitality venues with agricultural activities, public and private cultural foundations, urban palaces, ateliers, university residences, and guesthouses. Alongside these are castles, villas, abbeys, churches, chalets, and hotels located in more remote areas, as well as urban spaces with a deeply rooted historical identity.
These residences are places capable of generating relationships, visions, and new projects. By welcoming artists, audiences, and cultural activities, they are infused with new energy, enhance their own memory, and become points of reference for local communities. Within the network’s residences coexist beauty, music, and the dedicated care of owners who, often for generations, have preserved and passed on tangible and intangible heritage, knowledge, products, and traditions connected to their territories.
Le Dimore del Quartetto supports a cultural model founded on relationships, sharing, and the enhancement of places, bringing chamber music back to the spaces for which it was originally conceived and fostering a virtuous dialogue between heritage, contemporary creativity, and communities.
Le Dimore del Quartetto develops a range of activities designed to activate these places, enhance their identity, and strengthen their cultural role. The residences within the network thus become spaces for residencies, gatherings, training, and creative planning, embedded in an international ecosystem capable of fostering relationships, opportunities, and shared new visions.
