The playlists of Fortissimo represent a natural and lasting extension of the project’s creative journey, conceived to accompany the reading of the volume and to keep the experience alive over time. Accessible via QR codes, they allow words and music to intertwine immediately, making listening an integral part of experiencing the project.
For each emotion that emerged throughout the journey, two complementary playlists were created. The first brings together a selection of classical music pieces encountered by the students, particularly during the concert conversations. The selected movements, performed by the ensembles involved, accompany and enhance the texts in the volume, shaping an ongoing dialogue between writing and sound.
Alongside this, for each emotion, there is a second playlist curated directly by the students, featuring contemporary songs connected to their own sensibilities and musical imagination. In this way, emotions are reinterpreted and expressed through a personal and contemporary language, creating a bridge between the classical repertoire and contemporary listening experiences.
Taken together, the playlists offer multiple ways of accessing the same emotions and invite listeners to explore them through different perspectives, keeping alive the dialogue between experience, memory, and interpretation.
Fortissimo – Emozioni tra Musica e Parole is a project created by Le Dimore del Quartetto in collaboration with Fondazione Arnoldo e Alberto Mondadori, which establishes an educational path that combines music and storytelling, with the aim of countering educational and relational poverty among adolescents, while promoting personal growth, inclusion, and well-being.
The project was born out of the desire to strengthen the school as a place of dialogue and discovery, building on a collaboration already successfully tested in the project ABITO.
Fortissimo involves 300 students from three technical and vocational schools in Milan and the Metropolitan City, with the goal of increasing young people’s awareness of their own expressive, relational, and emotional abilities, while at the same time stimulating sensitivity towards the role of art and culture as tools for inner and collective exploration.
The technical and vocational schools participating in the project are IIS Falcone-Righi (Corsico), ITSOS Marie Curie (Cernusco sul Naviglio), and IIS Giovanni Giorgi (Milano).
