SYNERGY AMPLIFIED
Innovating the classical music ecosystem
SynAmp – Synergy Amplified: Innovating the Classical Music Ecosystem, co-funded by the European Union’s Creative Europe programme (call CREA-CULT-2025-COOP-2) and building on the experience and results of the previous edition #synergy (2021–2024), is a European international cooperation project that supports collaboration, training, and innovation in the classical music sector. It brings together music and other artistic disciplines through multidisciplinary projects, offering composers, artists from different fields, and emerging musicians the opportunity to collaborate at a European level by creating, performing, and touring new works.
SynAmp is coordinated by the DBS Foundation (Montenegro), in collaboration with eight partner organizations: Croatian Composers’ Society (Croatia), Le Dimore del Quartetto (Italy), Stiftelsen O/Modernt (Sweden), UMZE Association (Hungary), Kolarac Endowment (Serbia), Kosovo Chopin Association (Kosovo), and Qendra PIT (Albania). Art Lab (Bosnia and Herzegovina) joins the project as an associated partner.
Over the next three years, eight creative duos, composed of composers and multidisciplinary artists, will develop eight newly commissioned original works through a programme of mentorship and international residencies. These works will then be entrusted to eight chamber music ensembles selected by Le Dimore del Quartetto and presented during the SynAmp Tour, featuring 15 concerts across 8 European countries.
In parallel, two training cycles will involve 16 young cultural professionals through curricular or extracurricular internships, offering them the opportunity to closely follow both the creative processes and the project’s management.
Within the Synergy project, Le Dimore del Quartetto plays both an operational and strategic role, actively contributing to the selection, training, and international circulation phases. The organization supports the creative duos throughout the entire project, from the initial selection phase to the development of the works. It proposes a shortlist of candidates for the official selections, contributes to the definition of the international jury, and supports the duos during onboarding, mentoring, and residencies. In this context, it organizes a two-week artistic residency in Italy for one creative duo, culminating in a public presentation of the work.
Finally, Le Dimore del Quartetto contributes to the international dissemination of the project by taking part in the organization of the two Italian stages of the SynAmp Tour.
With Synergy Amplified, Le Dimore del Quartetto reaffirms its commitment to promoting classical music while opening up to new artistic forms and European collaborations.
