AMAI QUARTET

Janela Nini, violin
Chiara Siciliano, violin
Michaela Kleinecke, viola
Anna Tonini-Bossi, cello

Amai Quartet consists of four female students from the Vienna University for Music and Performing Arts (MDW). Janela Nini, Chiara Siciliano (violins), Michaela Kleinecke (viola) and Anna Tonini-Bossi (cello) met in 2020 with the desire to share their passion for chamber music. Although the obvious difficulties caused by the pandemic initially prevented the ensemble from performing live in front of an audience, the young musicians were not discouraged. With determination and enthusiasm, they pursued their projects, studying the repertoire and participating in competitions and auditions.

BRERA MUSICA | THE PROJECT

Brera/Musica is the project of the Pinacoteca di Brera in Milan that explores and deepens the relationships between visual art and music, an integral part of the development of the academic, intellectual and artistic dimension of the Pinacoteca’s works.

From 16 March to 21 December, the musicians of Le Dimore del Quartetto, in dialogue with curator and art historian Alessandra Montalbetti, introduce the public to the atmospheres of the pictorial and musical landscapes that are the protagonists of this edition.

Concerts are online on the third Thursday of each month, starting at 6 p.m., on the website of the Pinacoteca di Brera and Le Dimore del Quartetto.
