Villa La Collina, the 16th century ancestral estate, the ancient and historic home of the Vespignani Boselli family, has been magnificently restored over the past eight years, led by the architect Paolo Baccherini. On the property were several original, colonial villas, long since abandoned as tractors and technology have transformed the way people use the land. The owners have restored the villas, including an ancient chapel, into comfortable holiday homes, taking great care to preserve the original appearance and structure of the buildings, while bringing in modern design and conveniences.
The roofs have been renewed with classic terracotta tiles, the windows and shutters reinforced with local chestnut and the walls restored with local stone. Both floors and the kitchen and bathroom walls are clad in tiles made in nearby Faenza, famous for its ceramics since the 14th century.
A quality all the villas share is extraordinary beauty of the landscape that can be admired from all the houses: the enthusiastic appreciation of the guests who have succeeded is the best testimony of the magical reality of this land. Here you will discover the joy of life in nature, the warmth of hospitality and an exciting experience of energy and health.
