QUARTET VIVANCOS, SPAIN
The Quartet Vivancos is a young quartet formed at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya in 2019, under the tutelage of the prestigious Quartet Casals. The quartet has also had the opportunity to participate in various courses and masterclasses with members of important ensembles such as Alban Berg Quartet, Modigliani Quartet, Cosmos Quartet, Kronos Quartet, the Artemis Quartet and Vogler Quartet; and they have recently been selected to attend the international course in Weikersheim, organized by Jeunesses Musicales Deutschland.
They have been invited to participate in the opening of the Grec International Festival in summer of 2019, together with the Kronos Quartet; and at the prestigious International Festival Pau Casals in Prades performing as a formation in the summer of 2021, where they were able to receive a lesson from the famous cellist Sol Gabetta.
They have taken part in different national and international concert cycles, such as the Romanesque Chamber Music cycle in Andorra, the cycle of the Philharmonic Society at the Palau de la Música de València, the cycle of the Paranimf from the University of Barcelona, the cycle of the Reial Acadèmia de les Belles Arts of Sant Jordi, the Foundation Juan March in Madrid, the ICMC in Weikersheim and the aforementioned cycles for young talents, among others.
They are winners of the 1st prize of the third edition of the Concurs Amics de Cambra
Romànica d’Andorra in 2021.
They have premiered and recorded a work by the composer Bernat Vivancos, dedicated
to the quartet, broadcast on Catalunya Música radio station.
They are founders and string section leaders of the Camerata de Música Catalana.
