The Kandinsky Quartet, founded in 2020 and based in Vienna, has been invited to numerous prestigious festivals, such as the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence (France), the Styrian Chamber Music Festival and Wien Modern (Austria), Milano Musica (Italy) and Heidelberger Frühling (Germany).
In July 2023 they have been awarded the 30th Anniversary Prize of the Verbier Festival (Switzerland) and they have been selected for the EU-funded MERITA platform. As artists in residence of the summer series ArbeiterInnenkonzerte in Vienna, they are also involved in an outreach project intended for residents of social housing.
They had the privilege to share the stage with renowned soloists and chamber musicians of the international scene, like the Aris Quartet, the soprano Ruth Rosique and Elisabeth Leonskaja in particular, who mentors them and invites them regularly to perform together in Austrian, German and Spanish venues. They furthermore cherish the mentorship of prestigious string quartets, such as Arditti, Kuss, Ysaÿe, Casals, Quiroga, Danel, Mosaïques, Diotima and Alban Berg.
They regularly refine their skills at the MDW of Vienna under the guidance of Johannes Meissl and at the HMTM of Munich within the Academy of Quatuor Ébène.
Their engagements for the current season include concerts in Austria, Italy, Spain, Czech Republic, Germany and France, in this latter case, starting among others, from the Philharmonie of Paris to the most charming stages of the region of Alsace.
