CHEVY CHASE ROUND HOUSE, WASHINGTON DC

Categories , ,

The Round House in the Chevy Chase neighborhood of Washington, DC is an architectural gem in the capital city. The home was conceived and built in 1975 by architect Pierre Paul Childs, who was also known for redesigning Washington’s Union Station train terminal, overseeing the design of many U.S. embassies, and leading design on the Washington Metro stations. The circular home features living and gathering space, along with an acoustically tuned room for musical gatherings. The home was featured in Architectural Digest when it was first built in the 1970s, as well as when it was re-imagined in 2022.
