CASA ARCASIO, CASSINE (AL)

Categories , ,

Casa Arcasio is a family house located in the historic centre of Cassine in the province of Alessandria, within the boundaries of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Vineyard Landscapes of Langhe-Roero and Monferrato.
The most ancient part of the house dates back to the second half of the 16th century. The property is a quadrangle with two courtyards and a secret garden, and it spreads over three floors. The garden is on the front, between the house and the central square of the town. When the house was fully active, it used to have a stable, areas where rural activities used to be carried out and, of course, a network of cellars and the infernot- traditional wine cellars dug in the rock.
The tower was built in the mid 19th Century as meteorological observatory and was originally connected to the Turin station.
