ARTIST RESIDENCIES AT VILLA ALLEN
The timeless art residency experience is extended to painters and sculptors in the period betweenSeptember and October 2022 thanks to 12 scholarships provided by Fondazione Brivio Sforza.
The artist Jacopo Ginanneschi, selected by Galleria Rubin, IS hosted for a week at Villa Allen to produce sketches inspired by the places, spaces and territories that host him. The works will be completed later in atelier and will be displayed in a group exhibition in Milan in the courtyard of Palazzo Brivio Sforza, newly restored.
At the end of the residency, the artist offers two works, one to the owner as a thank you for their hospitality and the other to be auctioned off to create the scholarship fund for future residencies.
Jacopo Ginanneschi was born in 1987. In 2011 he graduated at the Academy of Fine Arts of Florence, at the Painting School of the Master Adriano Bimbi. He worked in 2011 as assistant of the painter Nicola de Maria at the Pecci Museum in Prato. He took part to the exhibition International Plein Air Mark Rothko in Daugavpils, Latvia, and two of his works are part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Contemporary Art of Daugavpils. For the anniversary of Michelangelo’s death he took part in many group exhibitions in Florence, one at the Uffizi Gallery. He took part in the group exhibition Fine Art University selection in Tsukuba, Japan.
He lives and works in Castel del Piano.
