ARTIST RESIDENCIES AT MASSERIA SPINA
The timeless art residency experience is extended to painters and sculptors in the period between September and October 2022 thanks to 12 scholarships provided by Fondazione Brivio Sforza.
The artist Paola Margherita, selected by Galleria Rubin, is hosted for a week at Masseria Spina to produce sketches inspired by the places, spaces and territories that host her. The works will be completed later in atelier and will be displayed in a group exhibition in Milan in the courtyard of Palazzo Brivio Sforza, newly restored.
At the end of the residency, the artist offers two works, one to the owner as a thank you for their hospitality and the other to be auctioned off to create the scholarship fund for future residencies.
Paola Margherita was born in Rome in 1970. She currently resides in Pozzuoli and works in Naples. She obtained a classical high school diploma in 1989 and followed by an applied art diploma in 1991, plastic decoration section. In 1993 he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples, where he attended sculpture classes taught by Maestro Augusto Perez.
Recent exhibitions, in 2022, include the Group Exhibition of projects for the competition “a sculpture for Margherita Hack” by Fondazione Deloitte, at the Casa degli Artisti, Milan.
