From November 27th to December 3rd, 2025, the Vivancos Quartet will be in residence at the FAME’s Institute, in collaboration with Le Dimore del Quartetto, as part of a project that weaves together training, musical production, and artistic development.
After completing the first part of the masterclass held in September, the quartet is now engaged in four days entirely dedicated to recording its repertoire in a high-quality professional studio. These sessions aim to produce top-level recordings, with prospects for future distribution and use in concert settings.
During the recording phase, the quartet is supported by a studio assistant for the entire duration of the sessions. In addition, a sound engineer is present for up to three hours each afternoon or evening, assisting with the editing and post-production of the material recorded during the day to ensure professional-level results.
The residency is structured in two phases: the first, in September 2025, focuses on training, exchange, and open rehearsals; the second, before the end of the same year, involves the quartet in the free recording of its repertoire in a highly specialized professional environment.
This journey stems from the collaboration between the FAME’s Institute and Le Dimore del Quartetto, with the goal of offering young musicians concrete opportunities to record in a highly qualified context, enriching their skills and providing new avenues for artistic growth. The residency is a valuable moment not only for the selected quartet but also for the entire community of students, who have the chance to participate actively, interact, and closely follow the working process of a high-level ensemble.
