Starting on June 30th, Sky Arte will premiere two new documentaries dedicated to Musica con Vista, the first nationwide chamber music festival that brings together outstanding young international musicians, unique cultural heritage sites, and territories waiting to be rediscovered.
Produced by 3D Produzioni, directed by Francesca Priori, and featuring Marco Magnifico, President of the FAI – Fondo per l’Ambiente Italiano, the documentaries take viewers on a visual and musical journey through Naples and Trento.
In the first episode, the Quartetto di Genova guides audiences through the wonders of Naples: the Church of San Giovanni, Lello Esposito’s atelier, the Rione Sanità district with the Catacombs of San Gennaro, the Basilica della Sanità, the Blue Church at Cristallini, and the panoramic views from Castel Sant’Elmo. The journey culminates in a concert at Villa di Donato, featuring music by Mendelssohn and Prokofiev.
In the second episode, the Quartetto Thumós takes viewers to the heart of Trento, exploring the Teatro della Filarmonica, the Cathedral, Castello del Buonconsiglio, and the MUSE – Science Museum of Trento, before concluding at Castel Thun, nestled in the Val di Non, where music by Ghedini and Schubert comes to life.
Each episode weaves together powerful musical performances, interviews, behind-the-scenes moments, and guided visits to historic residences, cloisters, palaces, and gardens, offering a rich portrait of both the territory and the personal journeys of the young musicians involved.
This new documentary series dedicated to the Musica con Vista Festival follows the first two films released in 2025, featuring the Quartetto Goldberg in Padua and the Quartetto Rilke in Palermo.
