Wednesday. March 22th 2023 – Istituto Comprensivo Tommaso Grossi, Milan
Let’s party: having fun in the dancefloor respecting everyone and everyone.
The ABITO meeting organised by Italia Music Lab and Equaly will be divided into two sections.
The first part, lasting two hours, will take place in the gymnasium/salon, where together we will simulate the organisation and realisation of a party on a dance floor, with a DJ playing, people having fun, and attendants (impersonated by the pupils).
The second part, lasting two hours, in the classroom. Here we will reflect on the behaviour of individuals and the group during the dancefloor simulation, talk about how each of us would like people to behave during parties, so that parties are spaces in which everyone and everyone feels safe and comfortable, just like other community spaces: the neighbourhood, the city, the school, social media, etc.
THE PROJECT "ABITO"
ABITO is a civic education pathway that accompanies secondary school students on their journey towards conscious citizenship through the languages of art and culture. ABITO is conceived and promoted by a group of cultural institutions governed by women who care about the development of a society of equals: Le Dimore del Quartetto, Fondazione Arnoldo e Alberto Mondadori, Triennale Milano Teatro, Museo Teatrale alla Scala, Equaly and Italia Music Lab.
In this context, Le Dimore del Quartetto proposes the MetaFour project, a journey of words and music based on a direct dialogue with the musicians of a string quartet, which raises awareness of the importance of collaboration, listening and the fundamental values that guide a civil society.
The first pilot edition of ABITO is promoted with the support of Fondazione EOS – Edison Orizzonte Sociale.
