Le Dimore del Quartetto is glad to announce that the MUSA – European young MUsicians soft Skills Alliance project, candidate on the Erasmus+ 2020 Call as Strategic Partnership to support innovation (Key Action 2), has been approved with a score of 93/100.
Our success is particularly important as there were a total of 247 applications received for Strategic Partnerships, including 40 projects for the exchange of best practices and 207 projects for innovation. The projects that have been admitted to the funding for KA2 are 40, including 12 projects for the exchange of best practices and 28 for innovation.

MUSA has as its general objective the development of key skills, and in particular the attitude to entrepreneurship, for young musicians in order to support their professional experience and working career. It is in fact aimed at young professional string quartets composed of musicians between 20 and 35 years old, who work together on a permanent basis and focus on the classical chamber repertoire, in order to provide them with a series of entrepreneurial knowledge, skills and competences, which, although fundamental to their professional career, are almost completely absent from their general curriculum.

The partnership is made up of Le Dimore del Quartetto as project leader, IED – Istituto Europeo di Design of Milan, ASK Research Center – Laboratory of economics and management of institutions and artistic and cultural initiatives of the L. Bocconi University of Milan, ProQuartet – Center européen de musique de chambre of Paris, La Ferme de Villefavard en Limousin of Villefavard, Experimenta of Lisbon.

The following organisations have expressed their interest and support to the application: Associazione Dimore Storiche Italiane, Europa Nostra, European Historic Houses, Historic Houses, Fondo Ambiente Italiano, Accademia Musicale Chigiana, Fondazione Cini, Centro di Musicologia Walter Stauffer, Fondazione Monzino, Si-Yo Music Society Foundation, Borletti-Buitoni Trust, Fondazione Cariplo.

The MUSA project will start in October 2020 and will last 25 months.
