FEBRUARY 29, 2024 | TRAINING COURSE FOR QUARTETS ON SUSTAINABLE EVENTS

Thusday, February 29th, from 2pm to 6 pm – Online

On Thursday, February 29th MERITA quartets will have the opportunity to take part into the webinar “Training Course for Quartets on Sustainable Events” held by Punto3, a consulting company that since 2003 has been devising, designing and implementing projects for sustainable development.

The aim of the training course is to provide young musicians with the basic knowledge and tools to be able to plan sustainable concerts. The training also provides fundamental skills for new performing arts professionals to propose innovative project proposals to concert societies and festivals.

The training is made up of two modules:
1) How to design and organise sustainable events
2) Carbon Footprint of an event: what it is and how to act to reduce it

MERITA and Sustainability:
MERITA promotes a sustainable business model that unites emerging chamber music artists, audiences, and cultural heritage, fostering among others the exchange of best practices for artists, environmental sustainability and awareness. MERITA provides a specific training for the 38 string quartets on Sustainable Events, environmental management analysis for cultural venues, and a Carbon Footprint Tool for chamber music concerts.
