October 31st, 2025, at 5 pm – Triennale, Milan
We Mediterranean is a collective and itinerant architecture project that promotes dialogue among cultures, territories, and sustainable design practices across the Mediterranean basin. The initiative will arrive in Milan on the occasion of Milano Arch Week, the international festival dedicated to architecture, urban transformation, and the future of cities, promoted by the Municipality of Milan, Politecnico di Milano, and Triennale Milano, taking place from 27 October to 2 November 2025.
The theme of this seventh edition is “Inequalities and Architecture”, focusing on inequalities and the role of design in building new forms of equity and coexistence.
On October 31st, 2025 at 5:00 pm, the event Mediterraneo insieme will bring to Triennale the experiences of artists, activists, educators, and designers who work through design practices deeply rooted in their local contexts, turning care for the environment and communities into a daily and collective act.
Speakers include Francesco Cavalli (Breeding and Learning Unit), Marialuisa Firpo (Nuova Libbaneria Mediterranea), Domenico Urraro (Tramandars), Moncada Rangel (Siracusa–Pantalica), and Francesca Moncada (Le Dimore del Quartetto), in conversation with Beatrice Leanza (curator and author of The New Design Museum), Anna Anzani, and Emilia Bitossi (Naga).
