We are thrilled to announce that MERITA platform is online!
|

The digital platform is at the heart of all MERITA activities, becoming a reference area and promotional showcase for artists, presentation of cultural sites and historical houses, mapping of professionals in the sector, dissemination of training materials and content for the public, networking between cultural organizations across Europe.

MERITA - where chamber Music, cultural hERItage and TAlent meet responds to the new needs of the music industry by increasing access to and participation in cultural activities even outside major cities, promoting European cultural heritage and strengthening connections between local and international cultures, and also bringing new audiences closer to classical music in venues of high artistic interest.

PROQUARTET PROFESSIONAL TRAINING
|
|
|
|
ProQuartet has been providing professional training and support programmes for chamber music ensembles since 1987. Courses take place in Paris, ending with one or several concerts. In addition, the programme includes workshops, concerts and outreach activities.

The masterclass will take place from October 2023 to June 2024 in 9 monthly meetings.

SALASTINA YOUNG ARTISTS PROGRAM

Sounds Promising is an apprenticeship program uniquely committed to young musicians’ professional development. The program is designed for young musicians and composers between the ages of 18 and 30.

Performance opportunities include side-by-side performances with Salastina’s Resident Artists on our Main Series, virtual bedside concerts for patients in UCLA’s ICU, and the study of contemporary music. Plus, learn what it takes to produce your own artistic project from start-to-finish.

VIENNA INTERNATIONAL CLASSIC STRINGS
COMPETITION & FESTIVAL
|

|
|
|
|
Vienna International Classic Strings Competition has as main purpose to offer musicians in training and at the beginning of their careers. Musicians from all over the world are welcome to participate in the online competition.
|
|
The winner of the Grand Prix prize (from each category) will give a live performance at the Morarthaus Vienna on September 14th, 2023 with professional audio and video recording.
|

The 26th International Chamber Music Competition “Luigi Nono” is addressed to performers of age between 15 and 33. Chamber Music section includes any group from duo to octect with max 1 piano.
|
|
First, second and third prizes consist in cash prizes. A recital in the subsequent season of concerts organized by “Amici per la Musica” is also part of the prize for the winners of the first prize. Other performers can be playing in recitals in the season, if so designed by the Jury.

FOR A TWO-YEAR SCHOLARSHIP

The Association Piero Farulli - la musica un bene da restituire ONLUS within the framework of its institutional purpose of promoting the artistic and moral legacy of Piero Farulli, violist of the legendary Quartetto Italiano and founder of the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole, announces its first national competition for a two-year, €15,000 annual scholarship dedicated to viola.

The competition is reserved for young Italian viola players, born between January 1, 2001 and December 31, 2007.
|
|
|
|
|

|

Whether you would like to consolidate a new repertoire, or you are looking for a way to present your new recording project, Le Dimore del Quartetto can support you in the organisation of a tournée of more residencies throughout the historic houses of our network.

Let us share with you the example of the Trio Febo, an ensemble who chose to develop a small tournée, following the concerts for hospitality formula, through Le Dimore del Quartetto, to rehearse their new repertoire.

The surroundings of these historic houses provided the perfect backdrop for intensive rehearsals and artistic exploration. The concentrated practice sessions not only enriched their performances but also deepened their connection as musicians.
The journey wasn't just about music – it was an opportunity to shine a spotlight on their ensemble. Each concert attracted a diverse audience, from local music aficionados to travelers seeking cultural enrichment. Through this tour, Trio Febo garnered visibility and recognition that transcended regional boundaries.
