Sketches made by the artists protagonists of Artist residencies project 2022 edition will accompany you to the discovery of the monthly appointments.

House of Le Dimore del Quartetto's network are told through their eyes, with details that convey all the emotions experienced.
|
The month of February is introduced by a sketch inspired by the landscapes of Il Mulino di Rovezzano realized by Andrej Mussa, an experience that becomes "a spatial-temporal journey where memory interacts with reality".

SELECTION OF MERITA QUARTETS

The European project MERITA, winner of the call Creative Europe - European Platforms 2021 and co-funded by the European Union, gathered more than 60 applications from musicians from 27 different countries.
|
The 38 quartets selected by MERITA Artistic Committee will be announced on Friday, February 10th 2023!

A NEW EDITION OF BRERA MUSICA
|

|
|
|
The collaboration between Le Dimore del Quartetto and Pinacoteca di Brera, which in 2022 gifted us 9 unmissable musical events, returns in 2023 with a new edition.
|
On this occasion, piece of music are associated to landscapes and architecture and accompany the public in a marvellous voyage of discovery.
|
Musicians of the Le Dimore del Quartetto's network instinctively propose piece of music capable of arousing emotions of these masterpieces.

COLLABORATION WITH CITÉ UNIVERSITAIRE
|
|
|
|
Le Dimore del Quartetto dwells with music La Cité Internationale Universitarie de Paris. During the month of February Quartetto Eos is guest of Maison de l'Italie for a long-term residency project, and Kandinsky Quartet, guest at la Maison du Mexique proposes a concert open to the public with music by Beethoven, Janàček and Bartók.

MICHELANGELO FOUNDATION FOR THE STRING CIRCLE

Less than a year after its official launch, The String Circle in collaboration with Museo del Violino of Cremona, obtains not only the important patronage of Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri d'Arte, but also the patronage of the Michelangelo Foundation, which definitively recognizes the quality and validity of this international network.

ROUND TABLE AT POSTE ITALIANE

On Wednesday February 15th, Le Dimore del Quartetto is guest of Poste Italiane for a round table with all the partners involved in the organization of Musica con Vista Festival 2023 edition.

The meeting will be an opportunity to develop and plan the music festival that will start in June 2023.

The Music Industry Master's Course devised by ITSRIGHT together with the Conservatories 'Giacomo Puccini' in Gallarate and 'Franco Vittadini' in Pavia is now under way: a didactic course that trains musicians by enriching their traditional training with in-depth studies related to the business world and copyright law.

At the end of August 2023, the third edition of Filippo Nicosia International Prize for String Quartets, String Trios, Piano Trios and Piano Quartets returns to Faenza.
|
Simone Gramaglia, artistic director of Le Dimore del Quartetto and viola of Quartetto di Cremona will be joined by internationally renowned musicians.

2ND PIERO FARULLI INTERNATIONAL ONLINE COMPETITION FOR JUNIOR STRING QUARTETS
|
|
The Breshears Quartet is the winner of the second edition of the Piero Farulli International Online Competition for Junior String Quartets. The young American musicians, who won thanks to their performance of Beethoven's op. 95 and Shostakovitch's Quartet op. 7, also won the prize for the youngest quartet admitted to the competition, indeed their average age is just over 13 and a half.
