MERITA | SELECTION OF QUARTETS
|

|
The European project MERITA, winner of the call Creative Europe - European Platforms 2021 and co-funded by the European Union, gathered more than 60 applications from musicians from 27 different countries.
|
The selection of 38 string quartets that will take part in MERITA's activities will be communicated in February 2023.

MONDAY, JANUARY 23RD | MUSEO TEATRALE ALLA SCALA, MILAN

|
|
|
|
"Historic Musical Promenades", are the walks through the history of theatre that Museo Teatrale alla Scala proposes to the third-grade classes of the Istituto Comprensivo Rinnovata Pizzigoni for the ABITO project.
|
The programme consists of two modules: 'The Belcanto of Inclusion' (overcoming stereotypes) and 'The Music of Sustainability' (raising awareness of social sustainability).
|

An innovative project ongoing starting from September at Istituto Comprensivo Rinnovata Pizzigoni in Milan with the support of Fondazione EOS – Edison Orizzonte Sociale.

Thanks to the precious coordination of Paola Dubini, ABITO is conceived and promoted by a group of cultural institution governed by women who have at heart the development of an equal society: Le Dimore del Quartetto, Fondazione Arnoldo e Alberto Mondadori, Triennale Milano Teatro, Museo Teatrale alla Scala, Equaly and Italia Music Lab.

MUSA is the European professional training project, conceived by Le Dimore del Quartetto, dedicated to young string quartets and aimed at developing knowledge, skills and entrepreneurial competences that are fundamental for their careers, but almost completely absent in their general curriculum.

MetaFour was created to make Beauty accessible to all. In 2022 we took our quartets to Italian and international schools, to Casa di Reclusione di Milano Opera and co-designed team-building activities for companies and foundations.
MetaFour is a journey of words and music that develops through dialogue between the musicians of a string quartet and the recipients of the encounter as a metaphor for collaboration and all those fundamental values that guide a civilised society.

Britten, Playford and Shaw are the protagonists of the playlist of the histrionic Belinfante Quartet, an ensemble capable of devising new, intellectually stimulating and captivating programmes.
