The call for application for the European project MERITA – where chamber Music, hERitage and TAlent meet – is now online!

It is open to professional string quartets, maximum average age 35 years old, who will get the chance to:
|
• develop innovative projects
• be involved in at least 3 paid performances abroad
|
• be part of an international circulation
• take part in artistic residencies in historic houses
• network with 17 European cultural institutions
• showcase the innovative project online with international concert organizers
• be selected to perform extra-EU concerts in the UK, in Switzerland, China and the USA
• get access to online trainings

It is a learning tool curated by ASK Research Center of Università Bocconi as a result of our MUSA project co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union and aimed at providing young chamber musicians with key entrepreneurial skills.

BRERA MUSICA IS BACK IN 2023
|
|
|
We are currently working on the next edition of Brera Musica. The project, in collaboration with Pinacoteca di Brera, is an online event that will take place once a month from January to September, 2023.
|
Each month, a masterpiece kept at Pinacoteca di Brera, one of the most important art institutions in Milan and in Italy, will be paired with a music video performed by the ensembles in Le Dimore del Quartetto network, and shared on ours and Pinacoteca di Brera's websites and social media.

BANFF MUSICIANS IN RESIDENCE
|
January 9th - 27th, 2023 — Banff, Alberta (Canada)

This program provides space and focused time for an extremely limited number of musicians of all genres to concentrate on artistic development while working on projects that can be either individually or ensemble based.
|

The program culminates in a series of public concerts in an intimate Banff Centre venue.
|

|
This season, the NSKA (Netherlands String Quartet Academy) will host a new series of online lectures, which are open for free for the musicians that are part of Le Dimore del Quartetto's network.

PROQUARTET PROFESSIONAL TRAINING

|
|
|
ProQuartet has been providing professional training and support programmes for chamber music ensembles since 1987. Courses take place in Paris, ending with one or several concerts. In addition, the programme includes workshops, concerts and outreach activities.

The competition takes place as part of the events promoted by the Association to spread the culture of making music together and in particular the knowledge of the repertoire for String Quartet as a privileged instrument of education to listening, to respect for others, a paradigm of the ideal society, particularly dear to Piero Farulli.

The 2022-2023 American Virtuoso International Music Competition (AVIMC) Winter Edition: Through the Eras is open to musicians of any nationality.
AVIMC offers Winners Recital in Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, and all contestants will receive complimentary masterclass opportunities with adjudicators in different categories.

Szymanowski Competition returns for the second edition with a prize pool of €300.000, a star-studded jury, and an inspiring repertoire this can be a turning point in the careers of its winners.
The performing competition will take place in September 2023 in the inspiring surroundings of the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music and the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice.
