|
With the new year, we are presenting the new participation plan to join Le Dimore del Quartetto's network, which is the result of the evolution of our work and implementation of new projects, and is designed to improve the quality of what we can offer you.

MUSA | THE QUARTETS SELECTED FOR THE STAGE IN FRANCE
|
|
|
The three European quartets taking part in the stage of MUSA – European young MUsicians soft Skills Alliance in France have been selected! Alinea Quartet from Germany, Belinfante Quartet from the Netherlands and Outis Quartet from Romania will be in residence at La Ferme de Villefavard en Limousin from April 30th to May 7th, 2022: a week of workshops, concerts and artistic residence curated by ProQuartet and La Ferme del Villefavard dedicated to registration and distribution of music, and to mental and physical preparation.

WIN A RECORDING WITH
DA VINCI PUBLISHING | DV YOUNG SOUNDS
|

|
DV YOUNG SOUNDS, a project by Da Vinci Publishing®, Osaka in collaboration with EGEA Music, and for the first time with the Armonie della Sera International Music Festival, is aimed at the development of musical activity among the new generations, providing financial coverage and support to young musicians who decide to enter the complex world of music recording.
|
|
|
|
|
Da Vinci allocates for this project the funds for the realization of a maximum of 8 productions to be recorded in the course of 2022-2023 at the indicated locations and with designated technicians. The discographic product thus created will be published by the Da Vinci Classics label, and will benefit from a wide promotion and press release.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
MASTERCLASSES & ACADEMIES
|
|
|
|
|
|
• Composition Lab (February 21st – 26th), held by the British composer Peter Gregson. Students will have the opportunity to study and perform with him a piece written specifically for this occasion.
|
|
|
|
• Innovation Lab (Feburary 8th – 10th), held by Prof. Matthias Röder, director of the renowned Karajan Institute. This workshop will explore the opportunities of innovation in the cultural sector, and will provide tools for an understanding of the current cultural landscape.
|
• Music Journalism Lab (February 13th – 15th), held by Oliver Condy, teaching how to best promote yourself to gain proper media visibility: sessions will include inputs on how to prepare for interviews, social media management, an overview of classical music recording and a look inside the world of the music publicist.
|
|
• Management Lab (March 15th – 19th), with Jacob Shaw and Cindy Hwang, is an outstanding training opportunity related to management in the art’s sector. Students will have the opportunity to listen to a panel of exceptional lecturers via streaming, as well as follow workshop projects.

The tenth edition of the Bordeaux International String Quartet Competition will take place in the Auditorium of the Bordeaux Opera. Due to the difficulties caused by the Covid crisis, the application deadline has been postponed in order to facilitate applications for the 2022 edition.
The results of the pre-selection will be announced on February 19th, 2022.

With the aim of offering opportunities for professional growth, further training, knowledge, Fondazione I Teatri issues a call for the 3rd Edition of the project Casa del Quartetto. Artistic Residency Program for young string quartets.
|
|
|
|
The Project envisages a residency in Reggio Emilia from June 6th to 18th, 2022 having as its object the study of a repertoire agreed upon after the selection with Francesco Filidei, musical consultant of the “Borciani Prize” together with the teaching quartets.
|
The recipients of the residency are string quartets of any nationality, with priority given to ensembles whose individual age does not exceed 35 years.
|

14th BANFF INTERNATIONAL STRING QUARTET COMPETITION

|
During Banff International String Quartet Competition 2022, ten quartets will vie for the opportunity to launch their careers by competing for the largest prizes for chamber music in the world.
|
|
|
|
In addition to generous cash prizes, first prize laureates will be awarded a custom-designed three-year artistic and career development program including the Southern Methodist University Peak Fellowship Ensemble-in-Residence Prize, a 2-year paid residency, as well as and an Esterházy Foundation Residency including concerts at Haydn Hall in Eisenstadt and the Lucerne Festival.

Competition is for String Quartets of all nationalities under the age of 35.
|

AMUR PER I NUOVI TALENTI
Artistic residencies at the Italian historical institutions of classical music
|
The selection is open to any type of instrumental, vocal or mixed ensemble, from two to six performers, composed of Italian or foreign musicians residing in Italy with an average age of no more than 30 years.
|
|

|
Comitato AMUR announces a selection for young ensembles in residence, with the aim of promoting new creativity in the field of chamber music, early music, vocal music.
|
|
Following the pre-selection, the final selection will take place in Perugia on June 4th-5th.
|
|
Each one of the three selected groups will be engaged for at least 5 concerts in the 2023/24 concert seasons of the AMUR insitutions.

The Premio Trio di Trieste, organized by Association Chamber Music Trieste, is considered, both by the specialized press and by experts in the field, one of the major competitions at the international level and among the 5 most important chamber music competitions in the world.

Winning the Trio di Trieste Prize (which offers, in addition to the prize money, more than 20 important concerts in Italy and abroad and the recording of a CD / DVD), means reaching a prestigious goal that can serve as a springboard for a serious concert career.

The 1st International String Quartet Competition Bad Tölz, addressed to young first-class ensembles from all over Europe and beyond, aims to promote young highly talented and aspiring string quartets and to support the start of their further careers as top European quartets.

Günter Pichler will be the chairman for the jury, also composed by Gustav Frielinghaus, Andrea Hampl, Volker Jacobsen, Helena Poggio, František Souček and Antti Tikkanen.
|
The prizes amount to €27.000 in total plus European concert tour and concert proposals.
