We are very happy to see you involved in numerous concerts and many more activities!
|
In the past 3 months, 8 ensembles have joined our network, that today counts 82 chamber music groups based in 17 countries.
|
We are committed to involving the ensembles in residencies, concerts and festivals, in Italy and abroad. This summer, we have involved 22 ensembles in 48 paid concerts. We also have organized 134 days of residency in 4 countries for our musicians, responding to 26 requests of hospitality, and counting.
|
On the very first days of June, the second edition of Musica con Vista Festival has started: a chamber music open-air festival through 37 concerts spread all over Italy, involving over 90 musicians and 18 Italian concert societies. Musica con Vista has also very recently received the patronage of the Italian Ministry for Tourism!
|
On June 13th we have also launched the project Cristina Trivulzio di Belgiojoso, on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the death of the heroine of the Italian Risorgimento: an itinerary of 4 concerts to turn the spotlight on her extraordinary life. Each concert includes a composition commissioned to young female composers for the project. The last landmark of this incredible journey will take place on September 15th, with the installation of a statue dedicated to Cristina Trivulzio di Belgiojoso: the first statue in Milan dedicated to a woman.

THE MUSA SECOND CALL FOR APPLICATIONS HAS JUST CLOSED

On the occasion of M° Simone Gramaglia masterclass in Faenza from August 26th to 31st, the Filippo Nicosia Award will be assigned to the best participant ensemble.

Promoted by the Musical Association IN MUSICA VERITAS, this International Scholarship for young string quartets and chamber ensembles is established as an homage to a special man.
|
|
|
|
|
As the Consul General of Italy in Chongqing and simply as a cultured man who loved music, Filippo was always able to recognize true musical talent, supporting and promoting it with great enthusiasm.Thanks to this scholarship, Filippo can continue adding his precious contribution to the world of Music and to the lives of many young performers.

PHILHARMONIE DE PARIS - STRING QUARTET BIENNALE

As part of the String Quartets Biennale, The Philharmonie de Paris hosts a masterclass held by Alfred Brendel in the Amphitheatre of the Cité de la musique. The participants work on Beethoven and Schubert's quartets. A pre-selection of the quartets will be done in order to participate.

STRING QUARTETS AUDITION DAY

A unique occasion occasion for string quartets, without restriction of age or experience, to perform in front of a prestigious jury in the Amphitheather of the Cité de la Musique.

ESPRESSO MASTERCLASS 2021

ESPRESSO MASTERCLASS is a few-days advanced masterclass for string quartets organised by Le Dimore del Quartetto. The ensembles get the chance to attend intense chamber music classes with renowned international teachers in historic houses. Students also perform concerts, putting into practice the repertoire they have been studying during those days. The participation is fully covered by a scholarship that includes classes and full board accommodation. Travel expenses are not included.

The Mozart Italia Association offers high-level annual dedicated masterclasses. Brendel will prefer a program focused on Schubert, Beethoven or Mozart for string quartets. Accomodation will be provided by Associazione Mozart Italia, while travel expenses won't be included.

FESTIVAL ALA CITTÀ DI MUSICA
CHAMBER MUSIC AND STRING QUARTET WORKSHOP
|
|
September 2nd - 5th, 2021
|
The course is addressed to all groups, from duo to octet, with or without piano.
The course also offers theoretical and practical meetings about the way to relate to chamber music, as well as an analysis of the groups' work related to the score and the consequent interpretative choice.
The course is open to 4 groups that will be selected by the teachers. It is also possible to participate in the course as auditors, attending lessons and theoretical meetings.

Addressed to students in possession of a three-year degree (or equivalent title if foreign). The academic course has a duration of two years and develops on a study plan that includes 14 individual lessons per year. At the end of the course there will be an exam to be awarded with the academic diploma of high specialization in music. The commission will be composed by the teachers and by guest musicians of renowned prestige.

The next ICM Competition Pinerolo e Torino Città metropolitana, a member of the World Federation of International Music Competitions in Geneva, will be held in Pinerolo and Turin from 6 to 12 March 2023.

The jury consist of internationally renowned musicians: Lukas Hagen (Austria), violin; Klauss Kaufmann (Germany), piano; Liisa Randalu (Estonia), viola; Joel Hoffmann (USA), composer; Marco Zuccarini (Italia), conductor; Miklós Perényi (Hungary), cello; Gabriele Mirabassi (Italy), clarinet.
