DO YOU HAVE A HISTORIC HOUSE AND YOU WANT TO PROMOTE YOUR ACTIVITIES?
Products and Lifestyle is the platform of Le Dimore del Quartetto where the territorial identity of the Historic Houses is narrated through their products, activities and unique experiences.
In the Historic Houses, besides music and beauty, we find the care and love of the owners whom, from one generation to another, pass on treasures and knowledges. The passion for the territory is handed down in everything they do, in all the products and experiences they propose. Many Houses, in fact, are extraordinary productive realities, with a fascinating story to tell.
Products and Lifestyle is a journey to the discovery of the Historic Houses, that invites a curious public to live firsthand their atmosphere and to taste their products. On this journey we rely on the words and the advices of our editorialists, to accompany us to discover the simple and extraordinary beauty of these places and the products of the land that surrounds them.

CONSONE QUARTET
The playlist we are presenting this month features Consone Quartet, a valuable young ensemble formed at the prestigious Royal College of Music in London, the city where the four musicians live. The ensemble’s peculiarity is that it plays instruments defined as “period”, meaning that they’re built with the characteristics of baroque/classical instruments, as well as using a lower tuning compared to the modern one.
The work they propose, drawn from the CD recorded for the French label Ambronay, consists of great classic pieces of the quartet repertoire. The playlist includes a tribute to Luigi Boccherini, also known for founding what seems to have been the first officially known string quartet.
When listening to Haydn, Mendelssohn and Boccherini we can appreciate the clear, soft and intelligent sound of the Consone Quartet and we are led in a fascinating journey through different authors and historical periods, whereas we can identify a common feature: the ability to create great masterpieces.
