THE GROUNDHOG DAY TO START THINKING ABOUT SPRING
On February 2nd in the United States and Canada the Groundhod day is celebrated. The tradition wants people to look at a groundhog burrow, if emerging from it the animal does not see its shadow because of cloudiness, winter will end soon. This practice has been made popular by the homonymous movie Groundhog day, in which the meteorologist Bill Murray finds himself to relive the same day over and over, having to deal with the rodent.
The groundhog is our superstitious way to wish for a positive change and why not, an early spring!

THE PLATFORM THAT ENHANCES THE ACTIVITIES OF HISTORIC HOUSES
Historic Houses are custodians of a collective memory connected to the territory and to the tradition. Each one of them has an original soul and preserves and passes on productions, recipes, valuable knowledge that express the identity of the places to which it belongs.
The products and experiences that we offer are a tribute to the passion of the landlords who generation after generation renovate their commitment towards tangible and intangible heritage that makes Europe extraordinary.

Every time Giancarla and Luciano spotted a chance to invest in a brave project bringing together music and young people, they would combine forces to guarantee a bright future and good results to it.
That is how our adventure began, from a kitchen worthy of the Four Season Hotel born to prepare meals for the young orchestra, passing through a cello for a young Serbian musician, to the scholarships for the Georg Solti Academy, and finally to the annual donation to Le Dimore del Quartetto.
I have never had the chance to thank them the way I wanted. They were silent patrons, who have never accepted a dedicated concert or a public show of gratitude. They had a flair for Beauty and Good, which they pursue just for the sheer pleasure of doing it. Always attentive to the young and the unfortunate, they have dedicated their lives to the promotion of a Culture accessible to everyone.

Villa Luigina dates back to the 16th century. According to the ancient land registry of the Municipality of Chieri the villa appears to have belonged in 1587 to Ercole Tana dei Signori di Santena. It was built as a pavilion or hunting lodge or as a holiday home.

"Le Dimore del Quartetto is developed around a simple exchange: on the eve of an artistic event, musicians are hosted free of charge in an historical house for a maximum of a week and, in trade, during their stay they offer a concert to the landlords. In this circular economy, the houses become a precious resource for the quartets and vice versa: it creates opportunities to meet in unusual places, in territories that are often decentralized, bringing back to life spaces that are not fully used and drawing new audience to chamber music."
