AMSTERDAM STRING QUARTET BIENNALE
|
|
|
|
The third edition of the String Quartet Biennale Amsterdam will take place from January 29th until February 5th 2022. Twenty-one string quartets will come to the festival from all over the world. Together they will show that the genre no longer fits in one box, but is increasingly popping up in new and unexpected contexts. This third edition offers, more than ever, different styles and ideas, room for improvisation, reflection on tradition and the revealing of new stories.

SALINE ROYALE ACADEMY
MASTERCLASS FOR VIOLIN AND CHAMBER MUSIC WITH

The Saline royale of Arc-et-Senans is a rare and exceptional example from the history of industrial architecture. The Saline royale operated as an integrated factory and today, the 8-hectare haven of nature has received the label Centre culturel de Rencontre from the Ministry of Culture
|
|
The masterclasses are filmed in multi-camera and the concert will take place on November 6th.
|
Conditions
Registration fee: €20 for a single student
Tuition fees: €636 for an individual registration. For trios and quartets, the rate is divided by two.
Full board accommodation from €520 to €838 depending on the type of accommodation chosen (single, twin or dormitory).
Scholarship: up to €400 for individuals, up to €200 per student for groups.

Due to cancellations, there are still a few vacancies for one or two chamber music ensembles, including piano trios.

BORDEAUX INTERNATIONAL STRING QUARTET COMPETITION

The tenth edition of the Bordeaux International String Quartet Competition will take place in the Auditorium of the Bordeaux Opera.
|
Competition is for String Quartets of all nationalities under 35.
|
|

PINEROLO E TORINO CITTÀ METROPOLITANA

The next ICM Competition Pinerolo e Torino Città metropolitana, a member of the World Federation of International Music Competitions in Geneva, will be held in Pinerolo and Turin from March 6th to 12th March 2023.
|
|
The jury consist of internationally renowned musicians: Lukas Hagen (Austria), violin; Klauss Kaufmann (Germany), piano; Liisa Randalu (Estonia), viola; Joel Hoffmann (USA), composer; Marco Zuccarini (Italy), conductor; Miklós Perényi (Hungary), cello; Gabriele Mirabassi (Italy), clarinet.

The first stage of MUSA – European young MUsicians soft Skills Alliance in Italy has been wonderful and intense: musicians have gained new skills in fashion, style, communication, photo shoots and in how to build a well defined identity as an ensemble, thanks to industry professionals.
|
|
We are currently in Portugal for the second stage of MUSA.
|
The main topic of the workshops will be Cross-fertilization among the arts: the program will explore the relationship between sound and space with architecture, light design and public performances, product design and the creation of musical instruments, interconnections between classical music and contemporary art, graphic design and sound design.
