10 PIECES SELECTED BY TRIO SORA

BEETHOVEN
|
Dear friends, with the new year, we are going to the heart of our playlists. After having inaugurated the series with the one dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Quartetto di Cremona (and which therefore saw me closely involved), it is with great pleasure that we offer you the first official playlist of the groups of Le Dimore del Quartetto. Let's start with the Trio Sora, a magnificent all-female piano ensemble, already very well established and continuing to grow eagerly. The Trio offers us a choice of entirely Beethovenian movements. Great masterpieces, the trios of the genius of Bonn do not need words but careful listening. I am sure you will be fascinated, as I was, by the skill of these three French musicians. Enjoy listening and see you in the next playlist!

The Comitato AMUR, comprising the most important Italian institutions operating in the field of classical music, has organised together with the photographer Daniele Ratti - creator of the project - a series of concerts in the empty theaters of the Committee's members, due to the severe health restrictions imposed in Italy. Music and photography, then, meet together to support the musicians and create a '20/'21 concert season through pictures and sounds.
|
14 concerts, 14 theatres, 14 shoots are the protagonists of Silenzio in Sala a Tempo di Musica and become the content of actions intended to reactivate the territories and their tourism of proximity.

"A week of professional training, the experience of an artistic residency in a Historical Residence between Milan and Lombardy, concerts in spectacular locations: applications are now open for the first phase of the MUSA (European young Musicians soft Skills Alliance) project, a European professional training project dedicated to young string quartets conceived and organized by Le Dimore del Quartetto and funded by the Erasmus Plus program of the European Union.
|
The objective of the MUSA project is to provide young string quartets with knowledge, skills and entrepreneurial competencies that are fundamental for their careers, but almost completely absent in their general curriculum: management, communication, production, distribution, physical and mental training, indispensable skills to transform passion into profession. The selected quartets will have the extraordinary opportunity to participate for free in the workshops: the costs of travel, accommodation and food in beautiful historic homes will be covered in full by the organization."

"The enthusiasm of young musicians toward chamber music has strengthened. The air, in short, has changed. I have experienced it firsthand, through "Le Dimore del Quartetto", whose artistic director I am. of which I am the artistic director. It is a project that supports young string quartets in the start of their careers, while at the same time enhancing the heritage of historical residences that are usually inaccessible. Beautiful places and great music are able to arouse a very special fascination that can bring the public closer. All this is due to the commitment and foresight of Francesca Moncada di Paternò, the soul of this initiative. After five editions, we have noticed a growing interest: thanks to this cycle of concerts, Italy is becoming an increasingly important interlocutor for what concerns the promotion of the chamber music repertoire".
