The European Commission and Europa Nostra, the main European network for cultural heritage, have announced the winners of the most prestigious recognition at European level, the European Heritage Award / Europa Nostra Award 2019. Among the winners, in the category Education, Training and Awareness, are Le Dimore del Quartetto, awarded for the excellent results achieved.

With the presence of a music legend like Alfred Brendel, the Mozart Italia Association offers high-level annual dedicated masterclasses. Brendel will prefer a program focused on Beethoven and Schubert for string quartets. At the end of the masterclass musicians will be given a certificate of participation. Registration was originally open until June 28th 2019, but the deadline has been extended.

The String Quartet course and the Chamber Music course for piano and strings - among the best courses offered by Accademia Chigiana are kept from this year on by the English cellist Clive Greensmith, one of the most important soloists of today, as well as a member of the Trio Montrose. Only through Le Dimore del Quartetto, applications are still open and the registration is fee-free. Furthermore, "established ensembles" (at least one year activity as a group) get 45% discount on the tuition fee.

Yearly specialization courses (free of charge) for violin, viola, cello and double-bass are held in Cremona by the following teachers of high international prestige: Salvatore Accardo - for the violin, Bruno Giuranna - for the viola, Antonio Meneses - for the cello, Franco Petracchi - for the double-bass. From 2011, there is also a yearly specialization course for string quartets, held by the Quartetto di Cremona, made up of the following teachers: Cristiano Gualco – violin, Paolo Andreoli – violin, Simone Gramaglia - viola, Giovanni Scaglione - cello.

Advanced musical training masterclasses with the most renowned artists of the international scene. A special focus on Chamber Music is given through the extraordinary classes held by Quartetto di Cremona together with the cellist Eckart Runge (Artemis Quartet) and, as guest star, by Alfred Brendel. Single instrument lessons are provided by Martti Rousi (cello), Edicson Ruiz (double bass), David Orlowsky (clarinet), Luigi Attademo (guitar), Gloria Campaner (piano), Fabio Vacchi (composition), Alfredo Zamarra (viola).
